Location: Northwestern Ontario (Red Lake)

Advance your career with Anishinaabe Abinoojii Family Services as a Community Wellness Worker dedicated to fostering community well-being in Kenora/Dryden. Drive initiatives that support mental health and cultural practices.

As a full-time Community Wellness Worker, you will play a critical role in promoting holistic health within First Nation communities. Engage directly with families to identify needs, create culturally appropriate strategies, and provide access to mental health and addiction services. Your work will include facilitating workshops and maintaining accurate program records to advocate for community wellness.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and deliver wellness-focused community programs

• Identify community needs through engagement

• Facilitate group activities and workshops

• Support access to mental health services

• Collaborate with community leaders and providers

Requirements:

• Degree in Social Work or related field

• Involvement with youth and families

• Familiarity with Child and Family Services Act

• Strong interpersonal skills

• Valid Ontario Driver’s Licence and vehicle
