Child and Youth Worker - Timmins

Location: Timmins Region (South Porcupine)

Support students and enhance education with the Child and Youth Worker role in Timmins, Ontario. This full-time position involves delivering programs, providing counseling, and working closely with teachers.

The Child and Youth Worker assists in implementing educational programs in French elementary and secondary systems. You will provide daily support, instruct life skills, and handle therapeutic programming. Key responsibilities include monitoring activities, completing logs, and ensuring building safety across the FW Schumacher Program.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver educational support and life skills programming

• Administer therapeutic programming to students

• Monitor and participate in student activities

• Complete records, logs, and inventories daily

• Perform building safety and security checks

Requirements:

• Diploma or degree in Social Services or related field

• Experience with youth and families is an asset

• Bilingualism in English and French required

• Minimum G2 driver’s license, willing to obtain G class

• Excellent communication and organizational skills
