Position: Dedicated CARE Worker for Exploited Youth
Location: Northwestern Ontario (Red Lake)

Anishinaabe Abinoojii Family Services is looking for a dedicated CARE Worker to support children at risk of exploitation in Kenora, ON. This full-time permanent role emphasizes trauma-informed care and community collaboration.

As a CARE Worker, your mission will be to provide child welfare services aligned with Ontario’s Anti-Human Trafficking Strategy. Collaborate with First Nations and local authorities to create a protective environment for vulnerable youth. The position requires excellent communication and a deep understanding of cultural practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide trauma-informed support to children in crisis

• Collaborate with various community and legal partners

• Conduct assessments and manage high-risk cases

• Ensure culturally safe and relevant services

• Uphold confidentiality and legal adherence at all times

Requirements:

• Diploma in Social Work or related field

• Minimum of two years in relevant services

• Knowledge of Anishinaabe culture and First Nations governance

• Strong problem-solving and communication capabilities

• Valid Ontario G Driver's License and ability to travel
