Resource Worker Supporting Indigenous Clients

Location: Cariboo and West Okanagan (100 Mile House)

Join the Indigenous Justice Centre in Williams Lake, BC, as a Resource and Support Worker. This full-time role involves providing culturally safe assistance and client support during legal processes.

This six-month fixed-term position requires collaboration with a dedicated legal team to ensure clients access essential resources and referrals. You'll play a key role in supporting safety planning and culturally informed healing paths. Your work will directly impact the lives of Indigenous clients by fostering community connections and providing ongoing case management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work with the Client Service Team alongside legal counsel

• Stay updated on local housing and health service wait lists

• Aid clients with document completion and support systems

• Facilitate connection with cultural resources and Elders

• Maintain proactive communication throughout the legal journey

Requirements:

• 1–4 years experience with Indigenous community practices

• At least 3 years in community or government agencies

• Knowledge of trauma-informed and person-centered care

• Valid BC Driver’s License

• Strong organizational and communication skills
