Social Worker at St. Lawrence Valley

Location: South Leeds and Grenville United Counties (Prescott)

Make a meaningful impact as a Social Worker at the St. Lawrence Valley Correctional & Treatment Centre in Brockville. This permanent role involves supporting inmates through assessment, counselling, and reintegration initiatives.

As a compassionate Social Worker, you will work with diverse populations, emphasizing crisis intervention and therapeutic support. Your responsibilities will include facilitating rehabilitative programming and maintaining accurate case documentation. This position also requires effective collaboration with various partners to enhance inmate care and support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide one-on-one and group counselling sessions

• Prepare clinical assessments and statistical reports

• Facilitate rehabilitation programming for inmates

• Collaborate with internal and external care partners

• Maintain accurate case notes and documentation

Requirements:

• Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) or Master of Social Work (MSW)

• Registration in good standing with OCSWSSW

• Knowledge of social work theories and practices

• Familiarity with digital case management systems

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
