Position: Crisis Intervention Worker at The Salvation Army

Become a Crisis Intervention Worker with The Salvation Army, focused on supporting vulnerable individuals and families in crisis situations. This full-time role emphasizes client assessment and emergency service delivery.

In this position, you will directly assist those in need within your community by conducting assessments, delivering food and clothing assistance, and managing food bank operations. You will also strategically engage with volunteers and community partners to ensure effective program outreach and coordination.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct intake assessments for immediate client needs

• Ensure effective emergency assistance and support

• Supervise and train food bank volunteers

• Organize special programs throughout the year

• Maintain accurate and confidential client records

Requirements:

• At least two years of relevant experience

• Completion of a two-year social services program

• Valid Ontario Class “G” Driver’s License and reliable vehicle

• Strong integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality

• Effective written and verbal communication skills
