SLGBTQ+ and gender diverse youth as a Peer Specialist with Point in Time, Haliburton. Offer vital community-based support to enhance youth wellness from 12-25 years old.

In this role, you will work under the Youth Wellness Hub Manager to provide tailored services for 2

SLGBTQ+ youth. You'll utilize your lived experience and inclusive approach to promote community and positive mental health. Collaboration with various organizations will be vital to coordinate impactful programs and foster a safe environment for youth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Promote supportive attitudes for gender diverse youth

• Conduct screening and intake assessments for new clients

• Assist in planning impactful services and supports

• Facilitate community resource referrals for clients

• Provide peer support in individual and group settings

Requirements:

• One year experience in gender diverse support

• Lived experience in the 2

SLGBTQ+ community

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work various hours including evenings

• First Aid training and police check required

Deliver essential peer support and create a welcoming space for youth at the Haliburton Youth Hub.
