Ucluelet Family Ties Social Worker

Location: Central Island (Chemainus)

Ucluelet Family Ties is searching for a Registered Social Worker to deliver client-centered care in Ucluelet, BC. Focus on mental health assessments, intervention, and multiple site services.

In this vital part-time position, you will work closely within a multidisciplinary team to provide psychological and social support for clients and their families. Responsibilities include comprehensive assessments and facilitating referrals for essential services. The position may also require travel between different service sites.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform client assessments and develop care plans

• Conduct counseling for crises and grief situations

• Collaborate with families and healthcare professionals

• Organize and manage a diverse caseload

• Build effective relationships with clients and colleagues

Requirements:

• Bachelor of Social Work degree from an accredited university

• Full registration with the BC College of Social Workers

• Two years of relevant experience in the field

• Valid BC Driver's License

• Strong counseling and communication abilities
