As a Shelter Resource Worker, you will engage in guest intakes, provide basic necessities, and connect residents with community resources. Your responsibilities include maintaining safety standards, adhering to health regulations, and supporting both guests and staff in a busy shelter. Your ability to manage stress and workload is essential in this bustling setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and assist homeless adults facing barriers

• Conduct guest intakes and manage essential records

• Connect clients to local community services

• Support new staff and maintain a safe environment

• Ensure compliance with WorkSafeBC health guidelines

Requirements:

• Minimum Grade 12 education plus related experience

• Knowledge of addiction and mental health resources

• Must hold Occupational First Aid Level 1 Certificate

• Strong organizational and communication capabilities

• Two years sobriety if history of substance concerns
