Youth Services Worker in Timmins

Location: Timiskaming North (Iroquois Falls A)

Engage and support at-risk youth as a full-time Youth Services Worker at Kunuwanimano Child and Family Services in Timmins, ON. This position focuses on cultural responsiveness and youth independence while helping them navigate their transition to adulthood.

In this full-time role, you will collaborate with youth in decision-making around their goals, providing essential support that fosters independence. Your responsibilities include assessing strengths and risks, connecting youth to resources, and facilitating educational planning. Addressing systemic barriers will also be part of your impact in this supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Engage youth in planning and decision-making

• Provide culturally responsive support services

• Coordinate housing and educational pathways

Requirements:

• Degree/diploma in social work or equivalent

• 2+ years’ experience with at-risk youth

• Knowledge of Indigenous youth issues

• Strong crisis intervention skills

• Comfortable with travel and flexible hours
