Child Youth Worker at Pacific Coast Resources

Provide care and support as a Child Youth Worker with Pacific Coast Children’s Resources. Empower young individuals to live independently while engaging within their community in a supportive environment.

In this role, you will join a vibrant multidisciplinary team dedicated to fostering independence among youth living in staffed homes. With a focus on advocacy, you will empower children to exercise their rights and choices while ensuring their health and safety. Your experience will enhance your ability to collaborate and work autonomously to benefit each child's journey.

Key Responsibilities:

• Advocate for children's rights and choices

• Build effective interactions with youth

• Promote community integration for supported children

• Assist in Personal Service Plans development

• Support daily living activities and medication administration

Requirements:

• Grade 12 education and Child and Youth Care Diploma

• Minimum 2 years in community social services

• Knowledge of Trauma-Informed and Recovery-Oriented Care

• Current First Aid/CPR and Food Safe certificates

• Clear criminal record for vulnerable populations
