Temporary Child and Youth Worker Position

Location: Quinte Shores, East Northumberland County & Prince Edward County (Picton)

Join the Hastings and Prince Edward District School Board as a Temporary Child and Youth Worker, focusing on enhancing student social and emotional well-being. This role emphasizes collaboration and crisis support within the school.

You will report to the School Principal and work with the in-school team to create impactful service plans for students. This position requires you to implement interventions that foster emotional regulation and address social challenges faced by students. Engage directly with children and youth to help them thrive in their learning environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Address student attendance issues through engagement

• Provide social-emotional learning support in small groups

• Develop and monitor service plans collaboratively

• Plan evidence-based interventions to support students

• Deliver crisis support and ASIST interventions when required

Requirements:

• Advanced Diploma in Child and Youth Care or similar

• At least one year of working experience in education

• Proven experience in co-regulation support

• Strong collaborative skills with school teams

• Valid Vulnerable Sector Background check
