Our Arcadia Program in Red Deer is seeking a Full Time Housing Coordinator
Minimum Qualifications and Requirements:
Diploma at minimum, preferred Degree directly related to Human Services
1 year frontline human services experience, preferred 3 years experience with high-risk youth in either residential or outreach setting
Proof of Membership in Professional Association (when applicable)
Knowledge of the CYFEA
Basic First Aid Level C with Adult, Child, and infant CPR &AED
Suicide Intervention Training & De-Escalation Training
Intervention Record & Criminal Record Check with the vulnerable sector
Class 5 driver's license, clean drivers abstract and reliable vehicle for occasional client transportation required.
Knowledge and understanding of Indigenous Culture considered an asset.
Strong documentation and assessment skills.
Responsibilities include:
Locate appropriate housing for clients.
Occasional mentorship/life skills teaching and program support
Access appropriate community support for clients; job skill development, drug counselling, legal assistance, health care, education support, financial support, support groups, etc.
Complete required paperwork for each youth (intake, orientation, surveys, permissions, etc.).
Take referrals for services and evaluate need and skill sets.
Work with external organizations to facilitate transitions and wraparound services.
Stay current on youth homelessness trends and extenuating factors.
Wage Range: $25.84 - $28.90 per hour, wage to be negotiated based on education and directly related experience. Plus, Travel Reimbursement at $0.57/KM.

Hours of work: 40 hours per week. Candidates must be able to work a rotating schedule with another staff member, alternating between day shifts and early afternoon shifts during the week, as well as two weekends each month. Some on call duties are required based on program needs.
