Youth Centre Program Leader in Saanich

Location: Saanich

Drive recreation and community wellness as a Youth Centre Program Leader with the District of Saanich. Engage youth ages 10 to 17 through various activities in a casual role.

The District of Saanich is seeking up to six casual Program Leaders I to oversee youth programs in community centres. In this pivotal role, you will plan and facilitate engaging activities while ensuring the safety and enjoyment of participants. Strong interpersonal skills, customer service focus, and teamwork are essential for success in this level one leadership role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and oversee youth recreational activities

• Communicate effectively with participants and families

• Ensure safety and enjoyment during sessions

• Respond to participant needs and inquiries

• Provide direction to Program Assistants and volunteers

Requirements:

• Completion of Grade 10 education

• Three months' experience working with youth

• Emergency First Aid and CPR-C certification

• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills

• Satisfactory Police Information Check
