Minahik Waskahigan High School is seeking a full-time School Counsellor for the 2026/27 academic year in Pinehouse. This position requires a Bachelor of Social Work and experience with children and youth.

As a School Counsellor, you will leverage your counseling background and cross-cultural experience to positively impact students. Responsibilities include addressing diverse student needs and collaborating with staff and parents for comprehensive support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide counseling support to students in various situations

• Collaborate with staff to develop comprehensive student plans

• Conduct individual and group sessions for emotional guidance

• Promote cross-cultural understanding within the school community

• Maintain updated records and documentation of counseling sessions

Requirements:

• Bachelor of Social Work Degree

• Eligible for Saskatchewan Association of Social Workers

• Strong experience in counseling children and youth

• Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle

• Cross-cultural sensitivity and experience
