Cultural Coordinator at Dene High School

In this full-time, temporary position, you will facilitate partnerships with community members and organizations to enhance cultural programming and revitalization of Indigenous languages. Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential as you develop supportive environments for students and families. A valid driver's license and a flexible approach to work hours complete the profile.

Key Responsibilities:

• Facilitate culturally relevant language programs

• Collaborate with Elders and community members

• Promote positive school culture aligned with local teachings

• Coordinate land-based educational activities and partnerships

• Work with school staff to implement language initiatives

Requirements:

• Strong organization and communication skills

• Direct experience with First Nations communities

• Flexible availability to support community events

• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

• Knowledge of Cree, Dene, or Michif is advantageous
