Join the District of Saanich as a Casual Youth Program Leader and create safe recreational experiences for local youth. This position allows you to flex your leadership and creativity.
Parks, Recreation, and Community Services in Saanich is offering up to six casual positions for individuals passionate about engaging youth ages 10 to 17. As a Program Leader I, your main responsibilities include planning, facilitating, and leading activities while ensuring positive and inclusive experiences for all. This role requires good communication skills and the ability to foster a welcoming atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities:
• Plan and facilitate drop-in and registered programs
• Ensure safe practices in program activities
• Engage effectively with participants and counselors
• Respond promptly to participant needs and feedback
• Support program evaluation and improvements
Requirements:
• Grade 10 completion or equivalent
• Minimum three months' youth work experience
• First Aid and CPR-C credentials
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Clean Police Information Check
