Parent Support Worker

Position: Dynamic Parent Support Worker Needed
Location: La Ronge

Help families thrive as a Parent Support Worker with LLRIBHS in Sucker River and Grandmother’s Bay. Utilize your patience and supportive skills to improve health outcomes for infants and young children.

This position focuses on offering in-home support, emphasizing child development and self-care for parents. You will collaborate with healthcare team members to provide effective programming and become an advocate for family needs. The role requires resilience and adaptability while traveling between La Ronge and surrounding communities for outreach and education.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver in-home support to families with children ages 0-6

• Conduct health promotion education for groups and individuals

• Partner with Community Health Nurse on service delivery

• Advocate for families and connect them with community resources

• Create and provide educational materials for workshops

Requirements:

• Early Childhood Education Certificate or relevant experience

• Certification in First Aid, CPR, and Safe Food Handling

• Strong communication and organizational skills

• Valid Class 5 Driver’s License required

• Previous experience with First Nations communities is an asset
