Location: Red Pheasant

The Post-Majority Support Services (PMSS) Coordinator will provide and coordinate the necessary support, reporting, resources, supervision and leadership to ensure the provision of a successful PMSS program. The Coordinator will be closely involved in all aspects of running the PMSS program in a holistic demeanor, targeting all willing young adults from ages 18 to 25 that have aged out of Ministry care.

Duties
  • Identify the individuals that meet the criteria of the PMSS program, and support them in their goals to be successful
  • Build work plans with willing clients that meet the criteria of the PMSS program
  • Support the delivery of wrap around services that meet distinct needs, and promote holistic outcomes for young adults
  • Ensure and facilitate the smooth functioning of the PMSS program in all aspects
  • Maintain the operation of the PMSS program within budget
  • Work both independently and collaboratively with other RPCN departments in developing a strategic approach to achieving long term planned results
  • Build upon the collaboration between First Nations and First Nations authorized service providers
  • Represent the agency by participating in committees in the community, and act as an ambassador for the program in the community
  • Provide supervision, leadership and support to all team members, including elder support
Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Social Work or equivalent education and experience
  • Class 5 Drivers License
  • Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector
  • Superior interpersonal skills and a high degree of innovation and initiative
  • The ability to speak Cree will be considered an asset
  • Must demonstrate a clear understanding of the needs of First Nations children and families
