Reporting to the Protection Supervisor, this role involves collaborating with families to evaluate their needs while promoting protective factors. With responsibilities ranging from performing risk assessments to providing emotional support, this position is essential for preserving child safety and family wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities:
• Document and report on family abuse indicators
• Conduct SDM Risk assessments as needed
• Facilitate family case conferences
• Provide guidance and referrals to families
• Ensure case management compliance as required
Requirements:
• B.I.S.W. or BSW required for application
• 2 years of experience in child protection
• Valid Class 5 driver's license with an acceptable record
• Clear criminal record check for vulnerable sectors
• Familiarity with family dynamics and related legislation
