Become a Community Release and Reintegration Worker with Nishnawbe-Aski Legal Services in Big Trout Lake, Ontario. Contribute to the betterment of the community by assisting individuals reintegrating into society.

In this role, you will utilize your educational background in Social Services or Indigenous Studies to support clients in their transition after incarceration. You will interview clients, provide assessments, and help them access necessary services, while maintaining supervision over their bail court requirements. A strong understanding of justice issues affecting Indigenous peoples is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Foster relationships with justice partners and the community

• Interview clients for program eligibility and assessments

• Supervise bail orders while providing aftercare support

• Assist with education, housing, and life skills services

• Provide counselling referrals tailored to client needs

Requirements:

• Experience in Social Services or a related field

• Knowledge of Indigenous justice issues preferred

• Fluency in an Indigenous language is an asset

• Strong problem-solving and independent working capability

• Positive representation within the community
