Maker Bay

Position: Full Time Home Maker Alert Bay
Location: North Island, Sunshine Coast, and Southern Gulf Islands (Whistler)

Support Alert Bay community members through reliable Home Making services, using compassion and strong communication while working 35 hours weekly.
'Namgis Community Services seeks a dependable Home Maker to assist individuals unable to complete daily tasks independently. The full time position reports to the Director of 'Namgis Community Services and requires respectful support, local service knowledge, and effective communication. You will work independently and collaboratively while maintaining a professional, pleasant, and personable approach.

Experience with elderly persons or persons with disabilities is required.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide Home Making services to individuals needing assistance
Support community members reliably and respectfully
Work independently and as part of a team
Apply knowledge of available local support services
Communicate with community members, colleagues, and service providers
Requirements:
One to two years working with elderly or disabled persons
Minimum Grade 12 education
First Aid, Food Safe, and WHMIS certificates
Clean Criminal Record Check
Reliable, trustworthy, pleasant, and personable approach
Bring compassionate Home Making, communication, and community support skills to 'Namgis Community Services in Alert Bay.
