You’ll work closely and collaboratively with our team consisting of developers, designers, and product owners to design and build new features and products. You will be shipping code used by hundreds of thousands of applicants per year.

• Joining a close-knit team of developers to work on a cloud-based web application using a modern AWS technology stack (ECS, EC2, Python, React, Type Script, MySQL, Post Gres, Docker, Graph
  
  QL, Redis, ...)
• Taking ownership of full-stack feature delivery, from conception and design to coding and deployment
• Collaborating with your team to solve tough technical and business challenges and write great code in the process
• Thinking about how to build high-performing, resilient, scalable software with an emphasis on code quality through unit and integration testing
• Working cross-team to create tools, alerts, instrumentation and monitoring for the code you write to ensure our applications are up and running smoothly
• Growing in your career while contributing to Kira’s success in the fast growing EdTech industry and helping us become innovators in this space

• 4+ years building web applications in a full stack capacity
• Degree in computer science, software engineering or a related field
• Experience with AWS or cloud technologies
• Some knowledge of systems design and architecture best practices
• A deep understanding of MySQL or related querying languages, including writing and optimizing queries
• Strong working knowledge of Python
• Experience with front-end JavaScript libraries (React preferred)
• Hands-on experience working on and supporting a live production environment
• A team player who likes to work with other engineers in a collaborative environment
• Must be eligible to work in Canada

Salary Range: $92,500 - $124,500
