As a key member of the Product Engineering team at Allstate Canada, you will design and implement REST/SOAP APIs and message integrations. Your expertise in event-driven architecture will utilize tools such as Kafka and JMS. With a focus on quality, you will practice Test Driven Development (TDD) to ensure seamless functionality across systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop REST/SOAP APIs and messaging integrations using Guidewire

• Implement event-driven integrations with Kafka or JMS

• Apply XP practices including CI pipelines and pairing

• Build API contracts and automated integration tests via TDD

• Troubleshoot integration issues, focusing on performance gaps

Requirements:

• Experience in Guidewire Integration and API development

• Knowledge of microservices and messaging systems

• Proficiency in Java or Gosu programming

• Familiarity with integration testing tools

• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
