Position: Lead Software Engineer for Medical Devices
Location: Alameda

Elevate healthcare solutions as a Lead Software Engineer at Epia Neuro, focusing on Android applications for brain-computer interfaces. Work 2-3 days onsite at our Alameda, CA headquarters.
You will take the lead on architecting and implementing applications that support clinicians and patients with neurological conditions. Your 7+ years of experience in software engineering, particularly within FDA-regulated medical device software, will be essential for integrating real-time data visualization features. This role is imperative for supporting clinical decisions and ensuring regulatory compliance through thorough documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own architecture of clinician and patient-facing applications

• Build real-time data visualizations for user interactions

• Develop software following FDA and IEC 62304 guidelines

• Collaborate with medical professionals on user experience

• Maintain comprehensive software lifecycle documentation
Requirements:

• Bachelor’s in Computer Science or equivalent proven experience

• 7+ years expertise in software for medical devices

• Strong knowledge of Android development in Kotlin or React Native

• Familiarity with IEC 62304 software development lifecycle

• Capable of engaging with non-technical stakeholders
