Swell Tofino is looking for experienced Surf, SUP, and Bike sports leader to join our team in continuing to deliver outstanding customer service while sharing our passion for the ocean through providing surf equipment rentals and surf instruction.

Our team is passionate about sharing our love for surfing and the ocean. We strive to provide a safe and fun way for our guests to be immersed in the ocean and surf environment through our rentals and instruction. We hope to share our passion while continuing to grow and learn with the new energy that life and the ocean provides.

Terms of Employment: Full time

Working Hours: 30 – 40 hours/week

Wage: $31/hr

Skills requirements: 2 - 3 years of experience in surf-specific coaching and instructing.

· Demonstrate and instruct athletic, fitness or sports activities and techniques

· Keep logs and maintain records

· Schedule activities

· Supervise staff

· Train staff

· Ensure safety of rescuers and victims at accident scenes

· Lead groups and individuals in recreational or leisure programs

· Plan and carry out recreational, fitness and sports activities

· Maintain and repair sports equipment

· Prepare reports

· Leading/instructing groups

· Leading/instructing individuals

• ISA Level 2 Surf Instructor Certification (required to train surf instructors).
• International Life Saving water safety certification (ILS).
• First Aid & CPR certification.
• Paddle Canada Stand Up Paddleboard Instructor certification.
• Criminal record check.
• Full Drivers License (not learners license).
