Part-Time Specialty Program Instructor YMCA

Location: Hants County (Shubenacadie)

Become an integral part of the John W. Lindsay YMCA as a part-time Specialty Program Instructor. Engage with a diverse range of participants while delivering specialized programs in art, sports, recreation, and more.

The YMCA is expanding its team of Specialty Program Instructors to cater to the growing demand for six-week specialty programs. This role targets individuals seeking focused instruction while promoting wellness and community ties. You will report to either the Adult Recreation Coordinator or the Child & Youth Program Coordinator, ensuring the highest standards of member engagement and program delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Propose engaging six-week specialty programs with clear goals

• Deliver planned programs for targeted participant groups

• Supervise participants, offering support and feedback

• Promote YMCA services to enhance participant experiences

• Maintain organized and safe program spaces

Requirements:

• Current CPR Level C and First Aid certification

• Passion for teaching and health promotion

• Strong organization, customer service, and communication skills

• One to two years of experience as an instructor preferred

• Willingness to work flexible hours for program availability
