Roll Off Driver

Location: Western Alberta (Jasper)

Job Overview  GFL Environmental is looking for a Roll‑off Driver to join our team in Edson, AB. The position is based out of Edson but will service surrounding areas including Hinton.

Requirements   Valid commercial driver’s license (Class1 preferred)
Valid first aid and H2S Alive ticket preferred
Demonstrated ability to safely drive the truck and operate equipment
Valid work authorization in the country where the job is located (GFL does not provide visa sponsorship)

Key Responsibilities   Operate vehicle(s) with automatic and standard transmission and collect solid waste, yard waste and/or recyclables on a route that may vary daily.
Complete pre‑trip and post‑trip safety inspections, daily truck reports, route sheets and other documentation as requested by supervisor.
Operate truck and equipment using prescribed techniques to eliminate driver‑induced mechanical failures.
Follow all safety standards, equipment checks and precautions in performance of all duties.
Comply with all federal, provincial, local and company safety rules and vehicle operation regulations.
Maintain accurate records of services performed.
Complete route observations on all routes on a predetermined basis, document findings and provide reports to immediate supervisor.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities   Knowledge of truck and its components and basic maintenance requirements for safe operation.
Ability to control equipment operations and maneuver truck into and out of minimum clearance spaces, using mirrors to back distances of approximately 120 feet.
Ability to exert muscular force to lift, push, pull or carry objects up to 50 pounds repetitively using proper lifting techniques.
