Johnny's Transportation Services is seeking a full-time AZ-licensed driver to operate a Heavy Wrecker and join our dynamic and growing team in the Greater Sudbury area. Qualifications
Required
A valid AZ Driver’s License.
Minimum 3 years of AZ driving experience.
Clean driver’s abstract and CVOR abstract.
Experience in heavy towing and recovery.
Reliable transportation to and from work.
Preferred (Assets)
A Criminal Record & Judicial Matters Check meeting the requirements of the Towing and Storage Safety and Enforcement Act, 2021.
Certifications such as Wreck Master or 310T Truck & Coach Certificate.
Experience operating:
Cranes
Boom trucks
Mobile equipment
Material handling equipment
Key Responsibilities
Provide roadside assistance, towing, and recovery services for heavy-duty vehicles.
Operate in compliance with HTA laws and Canadian Hours of Service regulations.
Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
Maintain accurate driver logs and adhere to company policies.
Communicate effectively with customers and dispatchers.
Navigate unfamiliar routes using maps or GPS.
Safely load, secure, and deliver parts and equipment locally and occasionally out of town.
Additional Requirements
Physically capable of handling strenuous activities (lifting, shoveling, bending, standing).
Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions (extreme heat or cold).
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Availability for on-call rotations and including weekend rotation (every 8 weeks).
Professional, motivated, and safety-focused attitude.
Willingness to spend occasional nights out of town (accommodation provided).
