Position: DZ Operator for Hazardous Waste Transport
Location: Algoma Southwest (Blind River)

Drive safety and efficiency as a DZ Operator for GFL, handling hazardous and non-hazardous wastes while ensuring compliance with regulations. This role requires loading, unloading, and operating specialized equipment.

GFL seeks a qualified DZ Operator to transport various waste types from customer sites. The ideal candidate will have a valid DZ license and experience with vacuum and box trucks. You'll perform routine inspections, operate equipment safely and communicate effectively with clients and coworkers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee secure cargo handling and load preparation

• Safely operate vacuum equipment in industrial settings

• Perform trip inspections ensuring vehicle safety

• Comply with transportation regulations and safety protocols

• Maneuver trucks into loading/unloading positions efficiently

Requirements:

• Valid DZ license is mandatory

• Strong mechanical aptitude for vehicle maintenance

• Exceptional organizational and communication skills

• Ability to lift 75+ lbs and handle stressful situations

• Flexibility for overtime and on-call weekend work
