Support Driver for Seniors Transportation

Location: Northeastern Manitoulin and the Islands

Make a difference as a Support Driver at Noojmowin Teg Health Centre, improving transportation for seniors aged 55 and older on Manitoulin Island. This role is integral to promoting healthy aging and community integration.

As part of a dedicated team, you will provide essential transportation services that enhance independent living for seniors. Collaboration with various organizations is key to ensuring patients receive timely access to medical care and community programming, fostering overall wellness.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely transport seniors to healthcare appointments

• Collaborate with community services to expand access

• Maintain a friendly and safe driving environment

• Keep accurate records of all transportation logs

• Build relationships within the community to strengthen service quality

Requirements:

• Must have a valid Class G Driver’s License

• CPR/First Aid Certification is required

• Flexible hours from Monday to Friday necessary

• Knowledge of local health and social services is desired

• Vulnerable Sector Check must be completed
