- Travel and food allowance: up to $125 per day included in daily rate
- Pension: $4.75/hr or approximately $10,200 per year

We are looking for professional Class 1 Truck Drivers to join us and become part of our Arrow family in Stewart, BC. We offer accommodations, fly in and out, daily travel and food allowance in a beautiful and welcoming northern B.C. community. As a Portland Canal Transportation Limited Partnership driver, you will be hauling copper ore using B-train trailers for our Red Chris Copper Ore Haul and/or our Pretium Bruce Jack Copper Ore Haul
. You will travel on various highways and high mountain mining roads in and around the Stewart area.
This position is scheduled to begin on
October 1, 2026 with training provided in advance to ensure all drivers are fully prepared and ready to operate on the start date.
Oversee cargo handling and secure loads, including equipment preparation, application of safe practices, compliance with applicable Acts and Regulations.
Perform pre and post andenroute trip inspections on equipment operated, ensuring safety,roadworthiness and regulatory compliance.
- Comply with applicable legislation including safe operation, load securement, driver's hours of service, occupational health and safety, transportation of dangerous goods, and weights and dimensions.
- Complywithall rules and regulations, protocols andestablishedmetrics.
- Efficiently maneuver truckand trailer(s) into loading or unloading positions, following signals from loading crew as needed; check that vehicle position is correct and any special loading equipment is properly positioned.
- Mayoperateloading equipment as per role requirements.
- Check mobile equipment (i.e.frontendloaders) to ensure that mechanical and safety equipment is in good working order.
- Report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage to the vehicles to the relevant supervisor.
- Report all safety hazards or conditionsencounteredat load, unload,yardand shop sites.
- Record,Maintain and Check all relevant paperwork (i.e. bill of lading,) and documentation to ensure that it is complete and accurate.
- Operate equipment such as truck cab computers, CB radios, and telephones to exchange necessary information with bases, supervisors, or other drivers.
- Complete electronic and/or manual logs of working hours and of vehicle service and repair status, following applicable provincial and federal regulations.
- Communicate effectively and courteously with the public, customers, and co-workers.
- Assistin loading and unloading of trucks.
- Perform periodic inspections before, during, and after delivery to ensure that load is properly fastened down and is secure.
- Ensure that material is properly protected from the outdoor elements.
