UPS Vehicle Shifter Tractor Trailer

Location: Dufferin County (Shelburne)

Operate tractor trailers for UPS during evening shifts, using safe driving methods and technology to communicate with dispatch. This permanent position runs Monday to Friday.
As a Vehicle Shifter, you will couple and uncouple tractor trailers and maneuver equipment for tractor trailer and package handling operations. The work requires trained safety methods, equipment inspections, and communication with dispatch. Knowledge of package handling principles supports daily operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Couple and uncouple tractor trailers
Move equipment into position for operations
Complete pre-trip and post-trip safety checks
Follow prescribed safety and driving methods
Report malfunctions to the supervisor
Requirements:
Meet local age and vehicle operation requirements
Know package handling principles
Hold a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent
Have two years of vehicle driving experience preferred
Use technology to perform job functions
Support UPS package handling operations through safe vehicle shifting, equipment checks, maneuvering, and dispatch communication.
