Position Summary
The Warehouse Shipping Associateis responsible fortheaccurate, safe, and efficient handling of materials within the warehouse and yard. This role supports inbound and outbound operations by unloading incomingproducts, verifying shipments,receivingand picking inventory using RF technology, and loading customer orders for shipment. The associate plays a key role inmaintaininginventory accuracy, ensuring on-time deliveries, and supporting overall warehouse efficiency in a fast-paced environment.
Salary:$24.50/hour
Responsibilities:
Unload product from incoming trailers as they arrive at thefacility.
Verify received materials against packing slips and shippingdocumentation.
Receive product into the warehouse management system using RFscanners.
Put away product in designated rack locations or in theyard.
Pick product from racks or yard locations using RF scanners according to customerorders.
Prepare pallets for shipment, ensuring proper packaging, labeling, and loadstability.
Stage completed orders in designated shipping lanes based on carrier androute.
Load product onto flat deck trailers and dry vans for shipment to customers
Conduct cyclecounts oninventory stored in racks and yard locations tomaintaininventoryaccuracy.
Safelyoperatewarehouse equipment such as counterbalance forklifts, reach trucks, and order pickers as required by thetask.
Follow all safety procedures, quality standards, and warehouse policies at alltimes.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workenvironment.
Knowledge and skill requirements
:
Previouswarehouse or shipping/receiving experiencerequired.
Experience handling large products and working in narrow aislespreferred.
Forklift experiencerequired; certification on counterbalance, reach truck, and/or order picker is anasset.
Experience using RF scanners and warehouse management systemspreferred.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy when handling inventory and documentation
Ability to follow written and verbalinstructions.
Strong organizational and time management skills
Ability to work independently as well as part of ateam.
