An established and growing specialist sub-contractor is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team on a major residential development in Canary Wharf. This is a long-term freelance opportunity on a flagship London scheme, offering stability and the chance to take full commercial ownership of key packages.

The Role

You will be commercially responsible for managing packages from procurement through to final account, working closely with the project delivery team and client representatives. The role is site-based and requires a hands-on, proactive commercial lead.

Key Responsibilities

* Full commercial management of subcontract packages

* Procurement and subcontract negotiation

* Variations and change management

* Cost reporting and forecasting

* Interim valuations and final accounts

* Client liaison and commercial meetings

* Supporting operational teams to drive margin and performance

Requirements

* Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor

* Background with a main contractor or specialist sub-contractor

* Strong residential or large mixed-use project experience

* Confident managing variations and client change

* Able to operate independently on site

* Strong reporting and commercial management skills
