Information Security Assistant Manager

Location: Canary Wharf

The role offers the opportunity to develop broad expertise across information security, cyber resilience, risk management, and governance within a dynamic banking environment.

The successful candidate will gain exposure to strategic initiatives, senior stakeholder engagement, and regulatory requirements, providing a strong foundation for career progression into senior Information Security, Risk Management, Governance, and Resilience leadership roles.

Essential Requirements

* 4+ years' experience in information and cyber security, preferably within banking or regulated financial services.

* Strong experience managing ISO 27001 ISMS, security risk assessments, audit and regulatory engagements.

* Sound understanding of data protection governance, operational resilience and third-party risk management.

* Sufficient technical cyber security knowledge to engage with and challenge Security Operations teams on incidents, vulnerabilities, threat intelligence, cloud security and security controls.

* Experience producing management reports.

* Strong stakeholder management skills with the confidence to challenge constructively and influence decisions.

Technical Knowledge Expected

* Security Operations (SOC), SIEM and incident response.

* Vulnerability management and threat intelligence.

* Identity & Access Management (IAM) and privileged access controls.

* Data protection and DLP controls.

* Cloud security, particularly AWS.

* Security monitoring, detection and response processes.

* Security architecture and control design principles
