Civil Engineer

Mechanical Engineer – Canfield, OH Overview:
This role supports engineering projects within industrial and manufacturing environments, including steel mills and production facilities. The position focuses on mechanical design, structural evaluation, and system improvements related to industrial equipment and safety systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Work within established project schedules and deadlines Review and apply design criteria, industry standards, and applicable codes Evaluate project scope and define engineering deliverables Perform and review calculations related to mechanical and structural design Conduct FEA and other analyses to determine loading constraints and system performance Prepare technical reports outlining design criteria and equipment evaluations Communicate with clients regarding project status, design updates, and deliverables Travel to client sites as needed for meetings, field verification, and data gathering Technical Focus Areas:
Structural analysis and FEA on equipment and systems Design of process piping and utility systems Design of fall protection systems, platforms, and safety structures Industrial equipment modifications and system improvements

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (PE not required) 3–5+ years of experience applying mechanical engineering principles

Experience with structural analysis and FEA Proficiency with tools such as AutoCAD, Solid Works, and similar design/analysis software Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation Experience preparing technical reports and bid/specification documents is a plus
