Cardo Group is becoming one of the UK’s most forward‑thinking maintenance and retrofit providers. Do you want to be part of something great? We are currently recruiting for a Supervisor – Planned Works to join our team covering the West Midlands (Cannock, Stafford, Birmingham).

Role Overview

To supervise and coordinate planned maintenance, refurbishment, and improvement works across the social housing portfolio. The role ensures projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to required quality standards while maintaining excellent service to residents.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee delivery of planned maintenance programmes (e.g. kitchens, bathrooms, roofing, windows, cyclical decorations, major refurbishments).
  • Supervise contractors, subcontractors, and operatives on site.
  • Monitor progress against programmes and report on performance.
  • Ensure works are completed to specification, quality standards, and contractual requirements.
  • Carry out pre-inspections, work‑in‑progress inspections, and post‑completion checks.
  • Act as a key point of contact for residents during planned works.
  • Arrange access to properties and communicate schedules and expectations.
  • Manage complaints, queries, and service issues professionally.
  • Ensure minimal disruption and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety legislation, CDM regulations, and organisational policies.
  • Review and monitor risk assessments and method statements (RAMS).
  • Promote safe working practices on site and address non‑compliance promptly.
  • Ensure works comply with building regulations and housing standards (e.g. Decent Homes, fire safety requirements).
  • Conduct snagging inspections and sign off completed works.
  • Monitor contractor performance and value for money.
  • Maintain accurate records, reports, and certification.
  • Provide progress updates to management and contribute to performance reporting.
  • Assist with planning and scheduling of programmes.
  • Support procurement and contractor management where required.
  • Verify completed works for payment approval.
  • Contribute to continuous service improvement.
You Will Need
  • Experience supervising construction, maintenance, or planned works (preferably in social housing or residential property).
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Good knowledge of building construction, maintenance processes, and quality standards.
  • Strong understanding of health & safety legislation and site practices.
  • Experience managing contractors and site operations.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
