Teaching Assistant - EYFS - Cannock - Short/Long Term Contract

We are currently recruiting for a committed and nurturing EYFS Teaching Assistant to join a variety of our Cannock schools on a temporary basis. You will be required to have availability to work 5 days a week, Monday - Friday on a temporary basis working for a reputable supply agency.

This role provides an opportunity to put your EYFS skills and knowledge to use within some of our lovely Cannock schools supporting the EYFS settings. You will be working alongside an established teacher within the EYFS classes and will be responsible in supporting pupils on a day-to-day basis. Your duties will be to assist children with reading/writing/maths, helping out with small group interventions and supporting the class teacher with general duties within the classroom.

You may also be supporting children with SEN needs; this can sometimes include 1:1 interventions, creating useful resources and working closely alongside the class teacher in order to create a child specific plan in order to assist pupils to reach their full potential.

The Role Includes:

Working for a reputable education agency - Academics Ltd.
Working collaboratively alongside staff and parents, with the childs best interests rt term and long term cover opportunities working within EYFS setting in Cannock and surrounding areas.
Supporting the class teacher with general learning duties such as: writing, reading and group activities.
The ability to provide individual and small group support where required to provide interventions for children.
Confidence in supporting pupils with SEN needs - this may be on a more 1:1 basis where required.

We are looking for someone who:

Must have experience supporting a primary class (EYFS experience would be desirable).
Obtains a Level 2 Teaching Assistant Certificate (minimum).
Is a passionate and committed teaching assistant who provides the best support to pupils within your class in order to support them with their learning.
The ability to support SEN pupils when needed within the classroom; this may be through 1:1 or small group work.
Enhanced DBS.
Available to start ASAP.
Able to commute to Cannock and surrounding areas on a daily basis.
Fully registered to work with Academics. Pay: £90 - £100 a day (dependent upon experience). Holiday pay is included on day rate.
