Norton Canes Health Centre are looking for a professional, friendly, and organised individual to be the welcoming face of our GP practice. As the first point of contact for patients, visitors, and other healthcare professionals, you will play a vital role in making sure everyone feels cared for and supported from the moment they arrive or call.
Main duties of the jobYou would be working as part ofa close team dealing with patient queries, care navigating and booking of appointments, answering face to face queries, raising repeat prescriptions,completing referrals, summarising, registrations/deductions and liaising withthe GPs and other ad-hoc duties.
You will have an excellenttelephone manner and experience in dealing with the public. You would need tobe precise in your work and have excellent IT knowledge and skills, althoughspecific system training will be available.

About usNorton Canes Health Centre are looking to recruit a Medical Receptionist for 30 hours per week. We are a very friendly and dynamic practice with approximately 3865 patients. There are 2 GP Partners, 1 Practice Manager with an experienced nursing and administration team.
There would be the opportunity for flexible working, with the need for cover for holidays and late evening working as part of a rota.
The working hours are between 8.00 am to 6.30pm Monday to Friday

Person Specification Qualifications- A recognised qualification (NVQ Level 2/GCSE Grades A to D to include English and Maths) or have equivalent experience in a relevant role.
- Care Navigation Medical Terminology
- Experience of working in a front of house environment, preferably a GP Practice. Knowledge of EMIS DOCMAN ICE Accu Rx Friendly, approachable and presentable. Good IT knowledge and skills. Flexible working
- Experience in Care Navigation
