Technician Responsibilities:

• Complete service and repair assignments efficiently, safely, and correctly to pass quality inspections.
• Comply with company safety policies and procedures.
• Communicate directly with service adviser's regarding the status of the repair work.
• Continuously learn new technical information and techniques.
• Examines damaged vehicle and efficiently plan repair process.
• Work and communicate with others on vehicle repair status.
• Perform quality repairs while keeping on-time status in mind.
• Make decisions on repair vs. replace considering safety, cost and cycle time.
• Remove upholstery, accessories, electrical and hydraulic window operating equipment, and trim to gain access to vehicle and fenders.
• Participate in all required safety meetings.
• File, grind, and sand repaired surfaces, using power tools and hand tools.
• Direct the work of an apprentice in the performance of tasks when needed, i.e., unusual problems or questions and explain procedures to assistant.

Technician Qualifications:

• Team oriented, flexible, and focused on maintaining a high level of customer service.
• Working knowledge of shop equipment.
• Basic Heavy and Medium Duty Truck knowledge.
• Maintain sufficient personally owned tools.
• Ability to work independently.
• Detail oriented and quality driven.
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check, physical exam, and drug screen.

Experience in one or all of the following areas:

• 2 Year Truck/Auto Body Experience
• Tech School Certification
• Vo-Tech Graduate
