Join a tertiary education provider in this part time (18 hours over 4 days) role supporting learners across key admission and enrolment processes.

Mō Tēnei Tūranga Mahi – About the Role

As an Admissions Administrator, you’ll deliver accurate, timely, and learner focused admissions and enrolment support. You’ll process applications, assess entry criteria, manage learner communications, coordinate enrolments and re enrolments, and work closely with academic and administrative teams to ensure a seamless ākonga experience while promoting Ara’s programmes and services.

  • Qualification in or equivalent to NZ Certificate in Business Administration Level 3 / Level 4
  • Exceptional organizational skills
  • Advanced MS Office skills – especially in Excel, Word, and Teams
  • Experience in a tertiary or regulatory environment
  • Commitment to providing outstanding customer service, with recent experience in a customer service role
  • The ability to quickly ascertain a customer’s need through effective listening and questioning techniques
  • An articulate, clear, and friendly communication style
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and highly pressured environment, without sacrificing quality
  • The ability to work co‑operatively as part of a multi‑skilled team
  • A friendly, cheerful, energetic and pro‑active disposition, with the ability and enthusiasm to handle pressure
  • Flexibility in order to meet the challenges of a role in a dynamic environment
  • Awareness and sensitivity to other cultures in keeping with the Institution’s values and goals
