Responsibilities
- Working closely with relevant parties to ensure the smooth running of education and training bookings and courses.
- Assist with welcoming guests to the training centre and with hospitality duties as and when required – including use of dishwasher and light domestic tasks.
- Be responsible for maintaining a high level of communication with external and internal customers, and all callers or visitors to the department.
- Regular review of Education pages on the hospice website and intranet to ensure they remain current and up to date.
- Coordinate student nursing placements and visits for all sites, offering care and support for people with incurable illness where and when it's needed.
This is an ideal first role for any applicant seeking to develop a career in administration for those candidates who have little or no prior administrative experience and are looking to learn new skills and develop their career in education and training.
Requirements & Qualifications- Have some administrative experience but ideally in healthcare, education or charities.
- Be fully IT literate, particularly in the use of databases and Microsoft Office applications.
- A good telephone manner and ability to project empathy.
- Be organised and able to demonstrate high standards of verbal and written communication and have the ability to project empathy as required and at times deal with matters of a sensitive and at times distressing nature.
- Be able to work effectively with minimum supervision, supportively in a team environment and at times under pressure.
- Fully flexible in regards to working hours and working across sites if required.
The role is fixed term until end of July.
The role will be 35h per week Monday‑Friday at £12.21 p/h.
