Outpatients Assistant Administrator

If you hold a Graduate/Post Study work visa, you will only be able to work this role fixed term until the expiry date of your visa.

Responsibilities
  • Register GP referrals as they arrive.
  • Book the first appointment with the patient, providing a positive, friendly, and helpful experience.
  • Maintain accurate and timely data to support delivery of National and Trust targets and ensure appropriate remuneration.
  • Answer calls promptly and professionally, addressing patient queries such as cancellations or rescheduling.
  • Work across multiple IT systems to complete tasks, handling face‑to‑face appointments at the hospital.

Qualifications and Training
  • Basic numeracy & literacy
  • Educated to GCSE level with A‑C grades in English and Maths or equivalent qualifications
  • Has gained or is willing to work towards NVQ2
Governance
  • To adhere to Governance within the Trust and report as per Trust Guidelines
  • Knowledge of Datix reporting
