Up to £29,000 per annum Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Hours:
37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm (30-minute lunch break)
We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Finance Administrator to join our growing team in Canterbury. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced administrator with strong finance support skills to become a key part of a busy and friendly office environment. This role is predominantly administration focused, supporting the day-to-day financial operations of the business and ensuring all records, documentation, and transactions are processed accurately and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities- Processing customer and supplier invoices.
- Assisting with sales and purchase ledger administration.
- Managing financial records and maintaining accurate databases.
- Allocating payments and assisting with account reconciliations.
- Supporting credit control activities and monitoring outstanding payments.
- Processing purchase orders and matching invoices.
- Liaising with suppliers, customers, and internal departments regarding finance-related queries.
- Maintaining digital and paper filing systems.
- Assisting with month-end administrative tasks.
- Producing reports and updating spreadsheets as required.
- Providing general administrative support to the finance function.
- Previous experience within an administrative role, ideally supporting a finance or accounts function.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- The ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- A professional and proactive approach.
- Experience using accounting or finance software.
- Knowledge of sales ledger, purchase ledger, or credit control processes.
- AAT studies or bookkeeping experience would be advantageous but not essential.
- Competitive salary of up to £29,000.
- Permanent, full-time position.
