Site Manager (Residential - Traditional Build)
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Site Manager to join a leading residential developer for an upcoming phase of traditional build housing.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage daily operations on-site, ensuring work is carried out according to the build program and technical specifications.
Lead and coordinate various trade teams, conducting daily briefings and weekly progress meetings to ensure seamless workflow.
Foster a strict safety culture, conducting regular audits and ensuring all operatives adhere to RAMS and site safety protocols.
Perform rigorous inspections at all build stages (from foundations to finishing) to meet NHBC standards and minimize defects.
Coordinate with materials controllers and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of plant and materials.
Maintain accurate daily site diaries, progress reports, and health and safety documentation.
Required Qualifications & Experience
Valid CSCS Card (Management/Black preferred).
SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme).
First Aid at Work Certificate.
Trade Background: A strong background in traditional build housing, with an NVQ in Construction Management or a trade-specific qualification (e.g., Bricklaying or Carpentry) being highly advantageous.
Proven Track Record:
Previous experience managing traditional build residential projects, specifically overseeing phases of 50+ units.
Candidate Profile
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage diverse subcontractor teams.
Excellent communication skills for liaising with Project Managers, sales teams, and customers.
A "detail-oriented" approach with a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
