Assistant Quantity Surveyor – Office & Shop Fit-Out

Location: Kent (Office-based, with site visits)
Salary: £28,000 – £35,000 per annum (DOE)

Are you a Junior or Assistant Quantity Surveyor with 12–24 months’ experience looking to take the next step in your career?
Our client – a respected and growing fit-out contractor specialising in both office and retail/shop fit-out projects – is considering bringing in a motivated Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their close-knit team.

This is a great opportunity for someone who has already started their QS journey and wants to gain deeper commercial experience across varied, fast-paced fit-out schemes.

Assisting with cost planning, tendering, and procurement

Supporting senior QSs with valuations, variations, and interim payments

Attending site visits and supporting with site measurements and progress tracking

Engaging with subcontractors, suppliers, and project teams

Working on projects from pre-construction to final account

12–24 months’ experience in a Quantity Surveying role, ideally within interior fit-out (offices or retail)

HNC or HND in Construction or a related field (a degree is not essential)

Strong communication and organisational skills

A proactive, detail-oriented approach with a willingness to learn

Based in Kent – this is an office-based role (5 days a week) with occasional site visits

Salary between £28,000 – £35,000
