We are seeking dedicated Consultant Paediatricians who share our core values of commitment, trust, integrity, and kindness to support our CYP Assessment Services in Canterbury.
About the Role:- Able to deliver ASD assessments for our children and adolescent patient groups predominantly aged 3-5 initially however opportunities exist to support older children once admitted to the Psicon Clinical Network.
- Working as part of a multidisciplinary team is required to support our younger patients.
- Observing the child/young person during MDT sessions and ensuring questions are asked in an age-appropriate and compassionate manner.
- Reviewing ADOS reports, developmental history, and relevant collateral information from home and school in the same session.
- Formulating a diagnosis, concluding the assessment, and providing feedback to the family in a kind, age-appropriate, and compassionate manner, including recommendations and signposting to local/national resources.
- Producing high-quality, detailed diagnostic reports within 48 hours post-assessment, adhering to DSM-5 criteria and report templates. (AI tools available to support Report writing).
- Requesting onward referrals as clinically necessary, in line with local NHS Trust/ICB protocols.
- Up to four appointments per day between 9am and 5pm, paid on a competitive per assessment tariff (self-employed, outside IR35).
- Weekend availability
- GMC-registered doctor with a valid license to practice.
- Hold Consultant status (CCT) and ideally be registered on Specialist Register.
- Confidence in ASD assessments for children and young people.
- In Clinic assessments in our Canterbury Clinic initially with potential to join our Private Service assessment team.

- F2F clinics ONLY at this time (F2F clinics are based in Canterbury with potential to also deliver assessments at our Basingstoke Clinic if more suitable)

- Full administrative support for appointment scheduling and Report writing now supported using AI Transcription.
