ASD Teaching Assistant Canterbury
Academics are recruiting an understanding and patient ASD Teaching Assistant to support pupils with autism in a primary school in Canterbury.
This role suits someone who enjoys working closely with pupils, supporting communication, routines, and engagement with learning.

What you'll do as an ASD Teaching Assistant:- Support pupils with autism on a 1:1 or small-group basis
- Assist with communication, social interaction, and classroom routines
- Implement strategies recommended by the SENCO and external professionals
- Encourage independence and positive behaviour
- Work collaboratively with teachers and support staff
- Experience supporting ASD (preferred but not essential)
- Patient, empathetic, and proactive
- Ability to follow structured support plans
- Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply)
