Functional Skills Tutor – Canterbury

At Prospero’s CES Team, we specialise in designing bespoke education packages for children and young people across Kent.

We have a high demand for Functional Skills 1-1 Tutors who have experience in delivering Maths, English & Science KS2-4 in the Maidstone area, (Experience in all key stages / subjects is NOT essential). High majority of students tend to be KS3+, but at times working at a much lower ability.

Who we need

We’re on the lookout for Education experts to support students on a 1-1 basis who are not able to access full time education for various reasons.

Many of the students we support have mild to complex SEND and SEMH needs. Many are disengaged, having not attended school for some time and may have emotional barriers to learning. As a result, we are seeking nurturing Tutors with a patient, flexible & non-judgemental approach with a passion for working closely with students to overcome barriers & reintegrate them back into education or a suitable school placement.
